The Notre Dame of Greatrer Manila seal was designed by an Oblate priest, Fr. Natalio Tabada, himself a product
of Notre Dame School System.
GREEN is the color of Notre Dame signifying joy and happiness.
GOLD and BLUE are also recognized as officila colors of Notre Dame as benefit colors honoring the blessed
mother.
The CROSS signifies the oblates cross and that the school is a CATHOLIC shool.
The FLEUR de LIS on the right hand means LOYALTY.
The TOWER on the lower left hand is the ymbol of HOPE and COTABATO where the first Notre Dame school started.
The LION with the CROSS represents FORTITUDE or COURAGE.
The motto "UT COGNOSCANT TE" (THAT THEY MAY KNOW YOU) is taken from the Gospel os St. John: "And
this is eternal life for men to know you, (UT COGNOSCANT TE), the only true God, and to knoe Jesus Christ, whom you have sent,"
(John 17:3)
The above passage is the Oblate's motto in Notre Dame of Greater Manila in their apostolateof evangelizing
the poor through EDUCATION.
